Can somebody tell me if first gear on an NP435 is synchro?

it is not...hell on mine second doesn't seem to be either

Definately not.

The Warner T19 is the only real truck 4 speed that I can think of that was.
And its 1st gear was only 4:?? something not 6:?? .
