ok, I've got a couple newbie q's for you guys- I'm looking at scoring some parts from an '83 SJ410 that's being parted out and I was wondering:

83's have the transfer case e-brake, correct? I'm pretty sure it was on 82-84 models but I'm not 100% positive on that. (was thinking about installing a line lock, but I want a decent mechanical backup too)

How much of a pain in the ass is it to swap out the front clip of the SJ onto an '87 LWB Sami? Tried to find out if they're interchangeable but no luck so far.

any other goodies I should look at grabbing off of the SJ?

Thanks a bunch in advance

All SJ-410's in canada had t-case e-brake, the 83 and earlier had a drum with small d-shaft pattern, won't fit on 84 sj or 85 up sammy d-shaft flanges. The 83 & earlier t-case has smaller input and front output shafts. The rear output is the same.

84 has stronger webs (same as sammy t-case casting)

Most have weak arms, use mounting system similar to spidertrax etc type with bolt and 2 bushings.

front clip swaps perfect, sj grill is not removable, take inner and fenders together, just unbolt from firewall, door hinges and inside door frame
