will they interchange? if not will they after changing the gear or not at all?
ok they dont i see diff part numberslidsted for the 351w then the rest of the ford distibutors, just my luck. so what distributor do i wanmt to put in a 77 460 motor to make it work with and 86 f250 that had a 351w. i was looking for somthing easy so i wouldnt have to fiddle with the wireing.

They did make a '86 F-250 with a 460 as an option. Maybe hunt one down in a junk yard.

Nope, but a distributer from a 351 M or 400 will work in a 460........

However it may need to be recurved afterwards for optimum performance......
