Who is running Sidekick power steering? I might have a line on a cheap box and was wondering if it was worth the effort. I plan to got to Toy axles eventually, can you use a 'kick box with Toy axles??

Yea, I was looking at install kits at the vendor's sites and the Toy kits are not much more then the 'Kick. I can get Toy boxes for the same price as Sidekicks. Thanks:D

Go with the Toy truck stuff, IFS box and pump. Its like running a Hydro set up.

i have a buddy who runs the tracker setup. with his stock axles and 31's it didn't work well at all. when he swapped in a waggy d44 and 36 sx's it works really well. go figure??? neither one of us could figure it out. it must have had something to do with the geometry of the steering linkages.......or was it the biology :flipoff2:

I run a tracker setup and am very happy with it, but I only run 31's on stock axles but i also run breeze steering. I'd be willing to bet it's the breeze steering makes all the difference, I bet anything with a z-link would feel worse think about the geometry, and it only gets worse the bigger you are, thats why I went crossover steering from day 1 with my spoa, it just made sense to me.

From what I have heard, the kick PS works fine with crossover steering, but not so well will the Zlink setup.

I am running it on mine wth the 44's and it works awesome!
If you use it get some sort of x over steering!

but I do agree with Fatty....If I was going to do it over, I would do the IFS box conversion. More work to put it in, but def. a stronger box!

Anyone been able to use the Toy boxes with coilsprings? I'm in a little different boat having a 'Kick and all, but I couldn't do the Toy thing. Pitman arm hit the coils, plus the draglink would be positioned behind the axle. It took me awhile to figure out a solution, but it finally occured to me. A Scout II box(I only drove a Scout II for like 8 years and forgot the pitman arm sat forward on the frame!). Only problems are that the stock pitman arm sits 2 inches in front of the frame, but my 4" drop arm is perfect, and the Scout II box is friggin HUGE! But it should be adequate for my 38's, no?

I picked up a tracker power system. I was wondering if there is a part number for the u-joint connecting the sami steering shaft to the tracker gear box. Or should I find a tracker shaft?
