Sawzall Blade review

Lenox GOLD Titanium Edge blades. All I can say is wow.

I have been cutting 5/8 thich plate/barstock with these things and Ive cut someswere between 18 and 24 inches with the same blade. All I have been doing is using cutting oil.

These are by far the best sawzall blades I have ever used. The 4 inch blades are about 3$ a piece which seems like a lot but not when you take into account how long they stay sharp and cut like new.

These are excellent. Skip the HF blades and go with these. One 5 pack will last you for quite a while... this blade doesnt seem to want to die. Well worth the $ paid for them.

How do they respond to an impromptu heat treating session? Such as cutting tempered/high carbon steel... Does the blade turn blue but still cut well? Or, does it turn blue with the teeth making a wavey shape?

Aces, not to sure. All I can say is that they do have a wavey tooth pattern on them. Most metal blades do have a bit of a kerf on them to keep them from getting stuck.

I dont know what kind of steel im cutting but the blade did get way too hot ot touch. Didnt turn blue but once the paint wears off you can see the HAZ from the Titanium (nitride?) treating along it. That or the blade really did blue.

Regardless, they arnt gunna get much better than this. Just get one of the free blades and see for yourself if ya dont belive me... they rock.

I've found the Torch blades pretty good - anything else just seems to die a quick and bent up death.

Ive been using milwaukee's 'the wrecker' series blade. Its a demolition style blade.

I've been using the Milwaukee "Torch" blades, but definitely going to give this a try. Waiting for my freebie - they don't have them at the local Lowes yet.

I just signed up for a blade. I've been using the torch blades for a few years. The first time I tried one I couldn't believe how much better it was than the generic brands.

Another vote the the "TORCH" series...but i have read a good review of the Lenox blades b4.
