If you dont mind hacking the fenders, I'm sure it can be done.

fatkid says 40's work well on the stock axles, so no worries there. :grinpimp:

37's are easy, SOA and 12" blocks. good to go. body lifts are :rainbow: :rainbow: :rainbow: youre probably going to need to move the front axle forward quite a bit. I've hacked quite a bit and my 35's still rub in the back.

I don't know how much lift I got from my coils, but I hacked the shit outta my fenderwells and I have plenty of room to spare. I would suggest pulling the axle forward a bunch and moving the rear end back a little too, so that you have more room for the tires and a more stable ride. I would say with a simple spring over, a little shackle, and lots o' sawzall you should be fine! What do the 37" MTR's actually measure? Cause my 37" boggers only mearsure 35.4" tall. So, what do you have planned for your sammy?

Sure, do it. I'm about to put some 36" TSLs on mine. It has SOA w/ wranglers. The front axle is moved forward about 1.5", rear has some little blocks to help. I'm just going to cut and pound for a perfect fit. The 35" BFGs on it now just barely rub.

I dont have a body lift on mine, and 37 would fit no problem. I wish I didnt already have my 35s...doh!

I enlarged my rear wheel wells and tossd the front clip, and am running stock yj and cj springs in a spoa. From what I can tell youd have a hard time keeping 37s out of the firewall without extending your frame a little more than I did or using springs with a lot of offset in the pin. I am looking at using toy rears in the front eventually (2.5 inch offset, but the same length as yjs) when I go to biger rubber.

Hack em' and move your axles some!!! A little sawzall action never hurts :flipoff2:

OK here is the begining plan

sammy frame and body
22re
toy 5 spd
toy 4.7 t case
toy axles
yj SOA
hy-steer
toy pwr steering
front axle moved forward
rear moved back
moto masters steel work
37" mtr's or 36" sx's
locked F & R
winch
premier power welder
and one FULLY hacked body to keep it low

anything else you guys would add????

If you guys are wondering if I can pull it off, do a search for LeRoy and LeRoy II to see what I have built before the sammy project:flipoff2:

FatKidd is my Master:vader2: He has pulled me to the other side:trooper: :trooper:

sounds like you just need a sami body and a rolled toyota to put it on......now I will duck backs into my fox hole but seriously that sounds reallly cool

Why not just use:

1.6 16V
sammi 5sp
6.1 Sumo or 5.8 Calmini

A lot less work and still very capable. Lower gears too.

or instead of one 4.7 box use dual stock boxes ,I think your double low will be equivalent to 5.28 to 1 or just add a stock box to the front of the 4.7 to get really down in it .Turns into a heavy set up then but its all center mass, could be good to ballance the rig

i'd say dual cases as well, just more options, plus that extra shifter is just cool

I think you should put those DynaTrac HP 60's you have under your Zuk. However I think you might be brake those 1.5" alloy shafts your running.:flipoff2:

I'm SURE dual toy cases will fit! :D I'd reconsider using the much heavier toy motor, but your plan sound good to me. Sound essentially like my rig, I'll let ya know how it works in the next couple of weeks!
