My scout II is SOA rear/SUA front. Gonna be swaping chevy axles, and SOA the front. Looking for opinons on what springs to run. Any specifics as to what gives a good spring rate/flex on the front of a scout. Engine is 304 with auto. I know i can dig around the wrecking yards looking and piecing something, but if if anyone has experiance as to what would be a good starting place?

How much lift do you want over soa? Do you want 2" or 2.5" (wide) springs?

Stock springs are good as well. No fab required if thats what you want.

Like binderbasher said, what do you want?

Ok. I dont have stock springs, mine are 3 or 4" lift, not sure. I want to go wider, to match the chevy pads, and it doesent really matter, as the previous owner did a shackle reversal, and im not fond of his work, so all is getting cut out and starting fron scratch. Not looking to gain to much lift over just SOA. The rear is already SOA on stock springs. I'm running 35's and lots of trimming right now, and the tires still rub inner fenders. So, i may want to pic up a little front and back, or body lift. i dont want to kill driveline angles or drop the t-case.
Also, im on a budget. I could afford new, if i had to, but to get it together, im looking junkyard, if possible.

If you grind out the center hole on the Chevy axle about 1/4 inch in on each side, making it an oval it will bolt right up to the Chevy axle. You'll have to turn the center pin over. Will work with lift springs or stock Scout II springs.

Not to worried about that, like i said, everything is getting cut off and starting over. just wondering what junkyard springs would be about the right rate to get me started.
