Well been pondering the idea of a 5.0 from a 89 and up mustang into my 82 cj-7.With a little more reading figured out you can get the 5.7 and the four speed T-18 from a 89 or(newer?)ford F-150 4x4.Other than the shaft to the dana 300 and a adapter plate. It should go in.Does this sound like a pipe dream or has anybody done this with success.I'm thinking might be the best way to get rid of the crappy carb sit, and the week t-5. Thanks for looking any feedback would be cool!

any 302 out of a 88, 89, or 90 foxbody has a fully forged bottom end stock, and they are the best for swaps, not to mention they are EFI

fox body are mustangs. The tranny is world class t-5 with to high gearing ratio. Why would you not just take a fuel injected 5.7 witht the t-18 attatched already the blocks are the same demenions externaly and all the clutch assembly is there and no mods needed to mount tranny to the mustang 302 so why the mustang 302.p.s I've had my jeep 13 years with a spring over ect this fawking website wasnt even here then so whos the newbee you fawk although it is a good website!NOT saying the responses are the one calling me newbee

I don't know if calling the mods names is the best way to put yourself in good stead on this board.
(Might want to work on spelling, punctuation, and sentence structure, too.)
