The water pump on my P38 failed catastrophically when I was towing with it to Eurotrial in Finland. I swithed it off and pulled over within seconds of seeing steam behind the truck. A wrecker brought it to the nearest Landrover dealer (less than 4 miles, in Tammerfors) and they had the pump overnight from Helsingfors. Soo, some luck after all.
I have since towed almost 1000 miles without issues. Does this mean that I can relax, or is it time to order head gaskets?
By the way, they were not used to Rangie owners calling in from the roadside telling them what parts to order even before the wrecker had arrived. :flipoff2:
Edit: seems Range Rover cater to a different crowd in Finland. With their steep taxes, a new full size Rangie with supercharger costs you 160 000 Euros, as per the sticker on a showroom car. That would be pretty close to 200k US!
