Wondering if anybody has tried the bambar and what the results were.Did it work?Looks like it will.

I like different so I decided to try the bambar idea out. I had most of the rear floorboard cut out at the time anyhow so it made fitting pretty easy. With the rear floorboard cut out I could see the true extent of axle wrap I was actually getting just from braking and putting a load on the axle on flat ground. So I eyeballed the amount of axle wrap I'd get from just that, brakes applied and applying the gas pedal. After completing the bambar the axle wrap was significantly lowered if not eliminated. I havn't had it on a trail since the re-build so I can't say for sure that it will not bind on articulation but in principal it shouldn't hinder articulation at all.
I would deffinately use the suggestion that the original creator had to make the lower two mounting points on the axle one long joint. I had four bushings laying around and decided to use the original design of two bushings on the axle mount. This made it difficult to line up the mounts perfect so that they wouldn't bind with respect to eachother as the axle articulated. Its not impossible to do it this way just a little more time in setting it up.
I would say it will work just as well as a typical anti-wrap bar and in theory it shouldn't bind or limit articulation. The main problem of the design is that it requires a significant amount of room above the axle and you must have either lift or in my case a fondness for the sawzall to make room for it. If you've got the room for it above the axle i see it working.

The Bambar acts exactly as a "single link" "anti wrap bar" does.

It DOES NOT elimnate the force on the springs and DOES NOT eliminate axle wrap!

Just build a Sam's Off Road style triangulated wrap bar. I've been running one for years with no problems.

Ladder bar, shackle link on the end. Tried and true. No catchy name... just proven function.

This might be a spanken question.I have scedual 40 pipe 1 1/4".Not sure if it will hold up.I know dom tubing is better, however if i could get away with the scedual 40 it will be free!

It will bend. I used 1-1/2" x 1/4" tube and beat the crap out of it. 1/4" plate for the axle bracket, RE Superflex joint on the shackle end.

Thanks for the info!I will go with the ladder bar.I wish there was something that wasn't so exposed, however I think I would hit the driveshaft before the ladder bar. Thanks again!!!!

I don't know why, but I  out loud at this.
