Thanks to Jess at high angle driveline for selling a quality product.
I just ran Paragon and Tellico again - with no drivetrain damage at all ;)
Phil
hey what about those conversion joints they are 1350 and 1310 so you dont have to change you yokes on the t-case and the shafts?
rkcrawl 04-24-2002, 12:48 PM How do you like the parking break setup? I like it, and want to do that sometime this season.. Hmm B-day is coming up..
onetoncv 04-24-2002, 12:48 PM that article turned out nice thanks phil- as for the conversion joints what exactly are you needing ? the cross joint from 1310-1350 is a 5-460x spicer -is that what you need? Jess

Conversion joints will allow you to install a driveline without changing yokes, but you will not gain the strength advantage of having a true 1350 joint.
i understand that but its a fix just until i get my atlas then i will be calling up jess to fix me up with some shafts.and ill just sell my TOM'S ....but those conversions joints will be fine right just not as strong?
thanks guys
ExtremeCJ 04-24-2002, 02:33 PM If anybody is interested i just finished a writeup on a high angle shaft and ebrake setup on JeepsUnlimited.com
I know it is JU but it is still a article. I have asked Lance in the past if i can write articles and he shot me down so JU gets my articles

Thanks Jess, You really are the best!!
no doubt that is a beautiful kit and i'm sure it works well but... what about the poor shmucks that run there jeeps everyday and live in a state where e-brake cable laws are stringent...thats my problem so back to caddy calipers but jess makes the sickest drivelines around no doubt...

I don't have one. I just grabbed a pic from Jess for
the first pic cause I was in a hurry to get something posted and my pic
looked bad. Guess I will go snap a better picture of the one mounted on my Jeep and
swap it on the write-up (since this is not the only place I have been asked that question).
I have caddy brakes with cable actuated callipers, but likely would have gone with a e-brake set-up if it had of been ready last summer when I built the Jeep.
Phil
talk to me phil... you selling your brake set-up ill send the m/o right now let me know
calipers and cables let me know dude...
i cant use jess's system out here ...fawkin inspection shit...

What are your laws. Would it not be considered good enough for an e-brake. Also if your jeep isnt that wild what cop is going to crawl under there and make sure that you have one. Unless you have inspection. We dont have to bother with that here luckily!
ya north carolina has inspections every year and not to mention my jeep tags are still quebec(canadian) as i moved down here to work so when i switch tags i will have to be inspected.also i probably will get pulled over once in awhile:D
pretty funny story 2 months agao i was just cruising on the hywy
when i was pulled over by a trooper . i was like fawkkkkkkkkk! i was speeding so the cop comes out to my jeep and looks at me and asks me what year is this jeep im like well its an 84' hes like hmmmmmmm i thought so then he looks underneath and says but wait you have coils .hahahahaah! i started to laugh i asked him howecome he pulled me over he was like well i just wanted to look at your ride i was like kewl dude.i had 38's on beads didnt say a word i explained him my jeep a tj with a cj front end i used a tittle from a cj cause i didnt wanna buy airbags he laughed and told me to have fun.
so just in case i get a prick copper i need e-brake cables...
bigjeepinYJ 04-24-2002, 05:02 PM I hear ya. The first week that I had my jeep my brother got pulled over and the cop told him that he (the cop) Had to exceed 90 MPH to catch up to my brother. My brother asked him if he clocked him and the cop said no but I had to accelerate to catch you...... Ha, he even had the balls to write him a ticket.
The reason that I say this is he was a cop from another town and a town cop pulled in and listended to all of his BS. Oh and not to mention that my brother was in 1 st gear the hole time..... The dual flowmaster must have got his attention. Oh well sometime you win sometimes you lose. Got out of the ticket anyways.
hahahahahaha ! cops could be cool and some could be fawkin dicks...
CHOKEu 04-24-2002, 06:36 PM You should of polished it... Polishing adds 12.5% more strength and you get better fuel milage!:flipoff2: :flipoff2:
Looks nice.:)
I clear coated mine.:)
Beast40 04-24-2002, 07:06 PM Shawn, my ebrake hasn't worked in well over a year, I just take the cables and run them up high on the body come inspection time, so when they look for them they're there but not a damn thing happens when you pull the lever. I'll be going to the high angle unit come atlas time.
KAcrawler 04-25-2002, 11:23 AM 1tontj did you have problems clearing the body with the ebrake? it looks like a tight squeeze. what tranny are you running? i don't wanna have to deal with it not clearing my body.

See my other post - not my Jeep inthe first pic. Obviously a mistake for me to use it. I will take some better pics of the one on my Jeep soon.
Thanks,
Phil
