Not tech, but couldn't think of another place to put this. Has anyone been to one of the Land Rover Offroad Events? I got invited (going this thursday) and wanted to know what they are like. I guess they setup a course and you get to use their cars (Sport, LR3 and HSE.) Any info/ pic's would be appreciated.

They actually can be pretty entertaining. You will see some vehicles do some things with the aid of modern technology that you did not think were possible. And then you will see some people driving their brand new $80k Range Rovers do some really dumb things and fawk them up. Its a good event to bring a lawn chair to.

It will depend upon where it is being held and who is running the show. AFIRover and I attended one that was nowhere near as well presented as the one you provided the link to.
If you wanna have some real fun, take a heavily modified truck and ignore their spotting and threaten to roll the truck you brought with you. It will make the dealer folks VERY uncomfortable.

Haha, I wish I could bring my wheeler, but I guess at this one they provide the cars and we just get to abuse them. I can't wait to see what the full size rover is really capable of
