: MC/PV and new rear disc brakes

I'm in the process of swapping a Ford nine inch with Lincoln Continental disc brakes into the rear of my Dana35 :rainbow: equipped, disc brake ZJ. I'm wondering if I'll need to make any changes to the master cylinder and/or proportioning valve in order to maintain a semblance of decent braking? Anyone

Depending on the size of the lincoln caliper - pretty sure it is significantly bigger than the d35 ones you may consider adding a 2psi check valve (10psi is probably too much) after the pp valve to keep the pedal stroke to a minimum,

Other than that the system should be ready to take the discs - next step I would do if the stroke was still too long would be adding length to the pedal rod or swapping in something like a f-350 MC... or depending on the year of your ZJ you could use a 97 and later double booster and MC which supposedly is more powerful (dont know about WJ stuff???)... (I put a 95 MC and booster in my 91 ABS XJ with very little effort)

As far as modifing the pp valve I don't know if it has the spring loaded check valve like the drum brake pp's and most likely there is little that can be done to it.

Good luck

Thanks Matt.

I was sort of hoping someone would chime in and tell me about the drawback of the stock Lincoln brakes as well, but it doesn't look like the topic is even getting a bunch of views.

Oh well, btt
