I am looking at a 74 L.C. that is here in Kansas. It is supposed to have a good body and has basically been turned into a Chevy. Currently has:
-Bikini Top
-350 motor
-350 turbo tran
-3500 stall conv
-4:10's
-used up 38" SX's on 15x10 8 lugs
-disk brakes on all 4 corners
-locating bars on rear end
-stock Yota springs(sprung over)
-descent floor boards
-Detroit rear-oper front
-3/4 ton Chevy front and rear(14 bolt rear)
-Chevy power steering

Guy is asking $3500.00 complete. It is supposed to run good and will sell me some 36" SX's in top shape for $400.00

Is it worth the dough??

HELL YEA!!!! that is a great deal. WI would be all over it. I do have to say the stall on that tranny is WAY off for what you want. For mudding and high speed drags that woudl work out great, but you want the stock converter in there. The stock converter has a lockup of about 800-1000. Get one oif thoise for rockcrawling.

I like the $3500 option, show up w/ cash & tell him to put the fresh rubber on- you can go wheelin on the way home!! Then swap the conv.

Grab that rolling rolling chassis too- you can sell the axles and transfer you'll wind up with a free(or nearly free) Vortec:eek:

Well, I appreciate the comments and I also wanted to know, what is this thing worth in other states? Im not really interested in selling it right after I buy it or anything but Im curious to its value.

I have an 85 4-Runner Im wanting to sell now I guess so I can buy this LC. The wife is pissed now however cause Im wanting to get rid of the runner for an even older vehicle.

buy all three and if you're wife has any problems, use that tongue to bring her round to your way of thinking ;)

I drove an hour to look at this rig and it is a piece!! It would have been more appealing probably had it had any of the body parts such as a front clip as well as the wheels. I get there and the thing is up on stands and had just a bikini top on it for the last 2 years so needles to say all seats are shot as well as the floor boards all rusted.

It was a monster rig however, I told him to put it all together so I could drive it and replace the seats and I would be back to look at it later.
