: 8.75" questions (which differentials can use a thrust block?)

8.75's are great axles for smaller vehicles (Toys & Jeeps), which is probably why there's not that much tech on them here in the Mopar section.

Anyway, I'm building one for an XJ, and have a couple questions:

Background:
These semifloating axles use a wheelbearing that needs to be preloaded.

Only one axleshaft has an adjuster on it, so the ends of the two shafts push on each other in the middle, by means of a thrust block to set the perload on both with the one adjuster.

Using a non-preload type (Green) bearing eliminates the need for this arrangement, but the Green bearings are weaker than the factory tapered (preload type) bearings.

I'm trying to keep the factory tapered bearings in this application, so I need a differential that uses a thrustblock.

The question:
Is the lockright able to reuse the thrust block from the open differential?
Does a full Detroit come with a thrust block?

Since this is a daily driver, I may just use a clutch type Sure Grip (Powerlock), but the one I have has one bad carrier bolt.

Is there a source for these reverse threaded Powerlock carrier screws?
