I was wondering how much the
rear section of the body weighs ??
From the door jam to the tailgate.
I found what's left of a Samurai
at a local wrecking yard that's
getting ready to close up.
All you can carry $50.00.
If it doesn't weigh to much I
was thinking it make a killer
little trail trailer.
Any close estimates would be
great help.

Don't know! Haven't cut it off yet! I can carry the nose clip by myself, hood and all, if you grab it right. Does it include the front floor pan? Is it just the tin? If it's just the 1/4's and tailgate, you should be able to carry it. Grab a friend and take with you, fill the tub with other stuff and carry it out. Even if you have to pay 100.00, you'll probably still score good.

Tim from New York has a really nice Samurai bed trailer he built up a few years ago. He brings it out to moab each year he makes it. turned out really nice.

I recall Tim Hardy used to run around with one also.

p.s. That rear section of the body is very light, but $50 sounds a little high for that section. I cut mine off, and threw it away. It was cut a bit closer to the wheel well though. if the frame is on there, then you are getting into some weight as the damn hitch bar and gas tank will also probably still be there.
