I recently bought a 2004 dodge 1500 pickup, and the guy i bought it from blew the transfercase and front differential. So i have a 2003 dodge 1500 and i need to know if the gears are different or it will even work.I already put i in the truck and a new front diff and drove it around and noticed it wasn't moving til about 2500rpm in 2wd and low(tranny),i was just wondering if it was the transfercase before i have the tranny rebuilt.I searched google but couldn't get a straight awnser. And btw ford sucks my dick:smokin:

sounds like it. If u only had it in 2 wheel drive and it didnt start moving till 2500 rpm i would say there is a problem with the tranny. Unless u were on a hill or had your emergency brake on your something...
?
actually..is this is a new transfercase out of the 2003 and was working well be the swap?

No it's not a new transfercase but i drove the truck it came outta and it was fine.No i wasn't on a hill and i didn't have the park brake on
i just needed to know if there was something different about these things that coulda cause this to happen.

Well then obviously something is wrong with the tranny or possible something binding?

i suppose it could be binding,i don't know what could. Are you sure there's noting different about these things?i don't wanna go have the tranny rebuilt and then find out that it's the transfercase
