Looks like a capable rig, well protected, he's got his recovery gear ready, and a smile indicating he's having fun.

What am I missing?

IT"S ME!!!! I'M the MORON!!:flipoff2:Anyhoo, I was having fun, and I'm just poking fun at myself. With my wife in the truck, I'm glad she was ok, but she wasn't bothered by it - I was worried she'd freak and not want to join me anymore. Funny tho, weeks before this happened, she asked me if we could roll it over in a parking lot with her in it so she could get it over with/see how it felt.... Yes dear... anything you want....

Crappy pic, but there ya go.

I think the moron part of it all is that he fliped on the

I figured that would come up!!! I actually rolled all the way over, and that is where I ended up. (There is a LARGE rock on the other side of the truck that kept the fun from continuing) The obstacle is in front of me (I'm facing up a hill). I rolled 3/4.... and I think I slid a little while I was on my top. See dents in hood. I'm amazed that the windshield didn't break tho...:D Aw hell, when I can figure out how to scan the other pics I have, I'll post them. 'Course none of them actually show the obstacle, so the ridicule is deserved...:p

My first flop was on flat ground, too.. but I was in the passenger seat.

Heck, it was on PAVEMENT...

Only about 500 miles on the Scout-now-known-as-Flipper.

Hey Tom,

Is that Epp's Truck when he picked you up from nationals a few years ago?!?:p I thought I recognized it.... How's he doing anyway? Haven't talked to him in a while....

Yep, that was the trip. I still feel pretty bad about the whole mess.

And none of the pictures of it on it's side came out.

I just saw on the Digest the motor in his Humlette let loose on his way to the Dixie Regionals (I think.. or Charlotte.. or something down there).

Last I heard he was pulling the motor out of what's left of (or already had pulled) "Flipper" to take down to Kent n' Sarah's to swap into the Travelette and drive it home.

LOL! I thought long & hard before I got the Warn, and I think I'm glad I followed conventional wisdom. But I gotta tell ya, I was close to buying that MM. We don't drive Scouts 'cause we follow the herd.... :smokin:

Here's a couple more of the recovery. I rolled from the far left of this pic (off the screen). That rock I'm standing on is what kept me from continuing. We winched it up a bit, then put her in neutral w/the front attached & let it roll back past the rock so it wouldn't crush any steering linkage...

Check out the driver's fender. :( Pushed the battery tray into the PS pump & bitched that up. Hood caved in on the radiator splitting a seam. Unhooked the ps belt, let her sit (while we swapped out an axle I broke earlier) and she fired right up...

Please ignore the crappy z-drag link etc - IknowIknow, I'm workin on it...

Nothing wrong with a good strong Z, if you are running 33's or so....

you did crunch it up good though. Bet you were real happy to have that cage in!!!!

Well, in the pic those are 37's, and they are now gone... for 39.5s, so I better start thinking hard about the steering setup... But Erick Foor built the Z for me out of some strong tube (sleeved) & it's heim jointed. The tie rod is solid stock tapped reverse threaded on one side w/hiems (built by guy who did the cage). Must weigh 30 or 40 lbs....

You're right about the cage! Nikki ran up to the guy that built it later that evening & gave him a big 'ole hug.:rasta:

Ahem. A Z-Link on 37's? Now that is asking for trouble! ;)

Give me the lengths for each side, if they'll work then we can work out a deal.
