Hey all,
Anybody got pics for this? My t-case is clocked so useing the stock shifter is out, wrong angle.
Any info would be great.
Thank's,

cant you just heat and bend the stick to point up towards the cab???:rasta:

twin stick for your transmission??
Or do you mean the t-case ATTACHED to your SM420?

No I cannot heat and bend, if I did this the throw would be too excessive and would end up with a very big hole in floor boad. The reason the throw would be off is the pivotpoint is about 12" below the floor, so the top end would have to travel way to far to to make the shift.
I am talking about shifting the t-case, not the tranny. I guess I will have to just make some drag links with heim joints on them and have two pivot points per shifter. So it would work like this
stickshift > draglink > pivotpoint on transmission > shift into/out of front wheel drive on transfercase cone.
stickshift > draglink > high/low on transfercase.
What a mess!

Yes, this would be a mess because it violates the KISS principle: keep it simple stupid.
Why not just fabricate all new linkage? You can make it any length, angle and lenght of pivot you want.
How many degrees is you case clocked anyway?

Pinhead,
Looks like you got it all worked out, I would say my t-case is clocked just like yours(I'm useing Space Ghosts adapter) I just picked up the sticks from a T-18, I kinda like the idea of haveing two seperate levers and the T-18 setup is sweet!(side by side and real compact) Hell I just shelled out 25 bone's for them and a new twin boot! I think it would be real easy to do somthing like what you did but with twinsticks, rite off the side of the transmission.
Thanks for the idea!

Because of the arrangement of the shift forks, it is much easier to do a 1 stick shifter for the J30 case than it is for the D18.
I am using Mike's adaptor too and if you want to just buy the linkage shown in the picture instead of fooling with it PM me.

This picture sucks, but talk to Matt, TheLakeRat, he did this for me, and it works killer...my T-xase is not clocked though, but I'm sure the only difference is a few measurments...

How far down is it clocked? You will have to make the lever for the 2wd/4wd part longer, but the stock lever is better than two.
I don't see an advantage of 2 on an LC t-case.
Here is what I did, mine is clocked but probably not as much as yours.
