I have a 96 Ran 360 4x4 auto.
It is leaking trans fluid from the shift linkage that goes down in the top of the trans on the drivers side.. Has this ever happened to anyone and how can i fix it?
Thanks.

Not a big problem you will need to remove the shift linkage and the trans pan. Next you will need to remove the bolts holding in the filter and i think it is like 14 bolts that hold on the valve body. once you drop the valve body it will either be O rings on the tower that goes on the tower or a seal in the transmission housing where the shift tower goes through the housing. Then it is as easy as replacing the seal, Buy your self a shift kit first then you have a better reason to do this work and the instructions will walk you through most of the work. Somthing like a transgo cheata shift in RV/ towing mode will help your slushbox last a few extra years in the long run.
