ok guys, i'm getting a 74" dually 70 equipped w/ new 4.88's and a powerlock and the smaller drums. it supposedly came out of a f350. my question is:
since supposedly 99% of most 70 shafts are not resplinable and i don't have the $$ to get new ones, can i buy a local junk yard big brake 70 (i can get those a dime a dozen) and throw the new gears and locker and BRAKES onto it? the big brake 70's seem to be much shorter. will the backing plates and hubs all bolt right on?
