you ran out of gas? seriously, I had this happen with a 79 F150, drove it home and parked it and the next day it would not start up. I never considered fuel, because the gauge showed quite a lot. I went through timing, wiring, the cursed ford ignition boxes and could not get it to run except for by dribble can. A buddy finally came over and was like, put some gas in it. I called bullshit, the gauge had never let me down, but we put 5 gallons in and she took right off. Turns out I was on enough of an angle where I was at that the pickup was starved for fuel, but the gauge still read okay. A bit of a fluke, but it can happen. Check the simple shit first. Also try to start it on a dribble can or either, if it runs, you have basicaly proved a fuel delivery problem of some sort.
Good Luck,
Jason

check it for spark, maybe your pick up coil, its under the module and when they go out it will leave you flat out cold till it decides to fire up again, and check your fuel level.

Samething happen to a bud of mine, he fulled up his tanks at work with diesel fuel and someone drained his tanks on the job site (broken fuel gauge) made it half way home Put in a new pump, but still no fuel, tow it to my place and put the air hose to it with the cap off the tank nothing but air, put some fuel in it and it started right up.
