Well, I am finally setting up the coil-overs in my sas. I need help comeing up with the proper spring rates for what I want.
Its a nissan pathfinder that weighs about 4,600 with all the weight spread more or less equally on all 4 corners. I mostly use it for general east coast trails, with occasional trips to moab.
I have 14" walker evans coil-overs that can take about 31" worth of springs. I want to have about 3" of uptravel with the rest in droop. I know this isnt normal for 14"s but my pathy is already too tall for my liking. Anyways, One guy I talked to suggested using the new 16" 600lb spring with a 14" 500, Now I started thinking about this and I dont think this will sit as low as I want it. I realize that I may be stuck with a kinda too soft rates but I will use some air bumps if this is the case to help with that. Anyways, what do the pirates suggest?
