ok well pretty soon i would like to get a winch but i would like to keep in inside the cab. i've seen some pictures from the toyota section that shows a winch right below the passenger side under where their thighs would be.

I'd like to know how something like that would be routed through the engine bay.

the winch i'm looking at is a hydro 2500lb mile marker winch. is this a good winch? would it even be able to be mounted incab if it is hydro powered not electric? this would be on an 85 yoda pickup

You mean temporarily mounted as in you keep it in the cab and stick it in a mount when you need it? Or are you actually talking about a permanent mount where the winch would actually be sitting right next to you while it was operating?

If it's the 2nd, I wouldn't be too keen about being that close to a winch during operation unless there was some heavy plate between me and it for protection.

They won't kill ya for asking there, he would prolly tell ya!

But something along the lines of pulleys and rollers would work. Gonna have to cut a hole in the firewall and weather seal it.

It is a really really really cool idea.

2500 is way too small for a truck, you need to look for at leas an 8000
