I have an '85 Shortbed with 406/SM465/205/D60/14B/4 inch suspension currently running 36" swampers, but have bought 16.1's that are 45". It is for off road use only. I have been collecting the parts to do an '85 extended cab s-10 swap. Anyone out there with experience with this swap that might have some tips or tricks to make the swap smoother? My plan is to go with a flat bed and move the radiator, batteries and 2 - 33 1/2 pound propane tanks to the bed. Any thoughts or help would be appreicated before I begin teardown.

I`ve got a 74 K5 with a 95` Chevy S10 body on it.
It runs a 350 and got plenty of room for the radiator, since theres not to much mud or water around here I kept the radiator in place.
It fits pretty well on the K5 chasis, it´s only like 3" longer. You wont have any troubles since youre going for a flat bed too.
Sounds interesting, keep me up with your upgrades.
