We are thinking of doing a fabtech 6" tacoma suspension lift but doing just the front. What kind of springs would work in the rear to equal 6" of lift and what will have to be done with the driveshaft?

There are no springs available (that we've heard of). You can usually have a custom set built around $350. That's the easy part.

You will have to fabricate new suspension links to get the geometry right. When you lift these past about 3.5", all the geometry goes to hell. at thistime it would be a VERY good idea to re-do some of the brackets to create even longer control arms. This of course can be hard and spendy.

You could also convert the rear to leaf springs, it's a simpler job than the link project. However, you may be dissapointed in the results. By doing so your are gaining axle wrap problems, losing tuning abilities, and worsening the ride.

Good luck, sounds like a project worth completing either way.
