25lbs. is fine. the tire is heavier but it shouldn't add death wobble. have you driven then long enough to heat up and go round again?;)

25 psi?? DAMN...if you ad up all four of my TSL's a street pressure you still won't get that. ;)

They will warm up, and somewhat drive smooth. But you gotta remember it's a swamper man....even balancing them doesn't get you a 100% street tire ride. :D

I run 38.5" SX's and i had some issues with wobble, and a overall shitty ride, i can not balence with wheelweights because i have trailready beadlocks. i put 12 oz. of equal in the tires and i could not even tell i did, so i added another 12 oz. and now it is great. it only took 24 oz. of equal in each tire.

run them for a few hundred miles and they should get better. Swampers are pretty out of round from the factory...they will even themselves out with some wear. IMO it is a waste to even attempt to balance swampers without having a couple hundred miles on them.

I run mine at 20 psi.

I too have a wobble, even with up to 20 oz of lead. I just live with it.

OH, YA! I sent back 3 of mine because they were out of round! It took forever to get five round ones. Mine are balancesd and run just fine- I put atleast 40 miles a day on mine @25 psi.

If their out of round; don't settle with them, unless you trailer it everywhere.

20 on the road! WTF? I had to fill up to 45PSI to get mine to stop. It works... Up to about 70mph! I do find that I have to drive through wobble sometims. Like from 45 to 50 it wobbles.???

No weights on mine what so ever and they are not that bad. I think you guys are looking for the Cadilac ride.
Check the toe. Have mine on Champion and I was totaly amazed on how bad it wasn't

damn!! i run any tire that goes on my zuk under 20PSI no higher!!! of course it weighs about 200lbs so anything over 20PSI feels like a rock!! :flipoff2: :flipoff2:

I did a spin balance of mine on OMF beadlocks and added 8 oz of equal. Smooth as a baby's butt.

They took over 20oz of weight each.

I've had wobbly 36" tsls but my new 38.5x14.5s are giving me a DEATH WOBBLE!
I'm working on finding the culprit. Likely it is just the tire exacerbating the small amount of play (wear) present in the tie rod ends, wheel bearings, knuckle bearings, spring bushings etc.
Basically a small amount of slop in a large number of things adds up to a huge wobble.

Bottom line: check everything attached to your front end (and rear end).

I'm amazed at how smooth mine are. I didn't even attempt to balance them, but I drove it on the road above 60 MPH and they felt really smooth, If I had a windshield I would have gone faster.

Windshields are over-rated anyway :D :D

The heavy SX will definitely point out any weaknesses in your steering. Yes, many are slightly out of round from the plant. You should drive them a bit before attempting to balance, as they'll "true" themselves to a point.

I had some death wobble when I first put mine on, but it was cured by readjusting my toe-in to 1/8-inch and putting a steering stabilizer back on.

hmm, so could some wobble be due to the fact that i only have a crappy drop draglink and not xover.....cuz i have a ton of play in my dragink:eek:

Are you having a swamper wobble or a DEATH WOBBLE?

Swamper wobble is just the tires (balancing, flat spots, out of round etc).

The DEATH WOBBLE is much much worse and is often the fault of a large combination of things such as tires, alignment, tie rod ends, spring bushings etc)

I've currently got death wobble:( but I'm working on it:)

I can't drive faster than 20mph or all hell breaks loose:eek:

I'm with Bob, I've heard of the golf ball trick and the BB's, but equal??? Are we talking the sweet powdery substance used as a sugar substitute?

What do your TR bead locks have to do with not being able to machine balance them?

I have the TRs also and they balanced perfectly and gave a glass smooth ride with my MTRs. Now I have 35x15.50 SXs and they balanced also. The ride is anything, but glass smooth... especially when they are cold. Once they warm up it's what can be expectected from a Swamper.
