chank bushing problems HELP [Archive]

Dear friends:
I have a problem with my RR V8 engine.
I am overhauling it and the bushings have some black marks on them. The crank is smooth and with some use but looks good (at least to me IF I AM WRONG PLEASE TELL ME) but the bushin black color spot are very suspicious.
They are also smooth even ober the black colored sports.
ANY IDEA ???

Pics would help. Are the black spots on the crank bearing surfaces? can you put them on a link to post the pictures?
