My bro found a fairly clean/stock 84 Toy the guy is asking $1400.00 he only used to haul a dirt bike once in a while but never wheeled it. Driveline seems tight and engine runs good.

Should he buy it? Seems like a good deal to me but I dont know Toyotas, need input in next hour or so.

Sounds pretty fair to me. I payed more than that for my 85' and it was salvaged with a mess of problems. I know now that I screwed up but $1400 sounds good for a clean running truck.
