Simple question.
I know the castor angle should be 3* measured through the king-pins.
What I need is a rough and ready angle measurement that I can use from another position, such as the flat top of the bump stop box sections or the diff' flange, taken from a standard Rangey on a flat surface.
I just want to use a protractor to set the axle "near enough" for a purely off road vehicle, and measuring through the king-pins is a ball ache - unless someone knows the easy way that is ?
What I want to do is restore the correct 3* castor angle that I've lost by pointing the diff up towards the tranny box by slotting the bolt holes in the flanges for the balls, and I just want to calculate how much to slot the holes. I want to leave the axle where it is.
