What size rims are those.....Wich T case set up...and that is by far my favorite ZJ..simply bad ass Wheels are 17x9 Steel, once the beadlock kit is welded on they end up being approx 10" wide.
T-case is still a 231 with a sye, plan on swapping in a Atlas or possibly a stak. I'll have to do more research on the stak before I make up my mind.
Over the winter plans: Full cage, rear bumper, t-case / driveshafts.
I dont supposse you would be willing to share your lengths for your rear arms and where you mounted them on hte "frame'? I have a 60 in the rear of my XJ that I would love to link up. What kind of numbers did you end up with on that set up? Looks like you didnt lose too much ground clearance either. Let me know!
Looks great!
quebec4x4 08-28-2006, 07:27 AM Quarter panel guards--
i want one ! send me a pm when available
i want one ! send me a pm when available
Me too me too :D
I have to finish this for this weekends runs. Once we get back on tuesday the panels will come off to be duplicated, probably 2 weeks out after getting back. They will be available with and with out the tube stand offs.
Qbert 08-28-2006, 08:16 AM I’ve been looking into the 4 speed Atlas…I read about a ZJ were the dude put in an Atlas and a KluneV (basically the same thing as the 4 speed atlas) The shifter on it is trick it looks like a TJ shifter..I’m not to cool with the whole dozer look of the cab with all the damn shifters of the Trek. And for a couple of extra $$$ why not have it all. I cant wait to see you rig finished...

THANKS
There are numerous products comming from this build as well as XJ ones that will be following also. We will offer a front & rear link kit , this one is probably out of most peoples reach as far as what I see. I may be wrong but the front of mine had to be cut up quite a bit and most would not want to get that involded. Suprisingly the rear does not need a much cuttin at all and was able to stretch the rear out approx 3 inches. The front was pushed forward approx 3 inches also.
More pictures after today / tonights fab fest is over.

Is there anything behind that slider? Great job so far, makes me reconsider the ZJ for a trail rig:eek:
Did you steal this outta the handicap bathroom stall at McDonalds? With out the "oh shit" rail there is simply too much damage that can happen to the body when wheeling a station wagon. You should know this since it lloks like you have a grand, if you use and abuse yours. This has and will be used hard and yes maybe there will be a handicap person on the trail someday that needs to shit.
Time is really cutting it cloase already on this project, I have another idea the stand off that will run from the front doors back. just did not and will not have enough time to tackle any more work for this week.
No updates, unfortunatly my lead mechanic had his fore arm broken (both bones) yesterday so needless to say all work stopped as that is top priority.
Something you never want to see happen to anyone.
I will probably get some new pictures up sometime today when I get to the shop today, since it is 4:24am and I'll be headed back to the hospital to see how sugery went.
desertsport 08-29-2006, 01:40 AM what are you planning on for the cage?
chuckmac 08-29-2006, 02:42 PM Looks Awesome!!
I am in for a set of 1/4 guards as well.
1996cc 08-29-2006, 02:55 PM Did you steal this outta the handicap bathroom stall at McDonalds?
I agree, first thing I thought of. Got to be a better way to protect the unibody. Wheel hoops & roof sliders??
cvwindows 08-29-2006, 02:57 PM Not everybody likes the exo look. I personally hate them.

gregmondro 08-30-2006, 09:40 AM Awesome project. I'm loving the quarter panel guards. Not many companies have those for the ZJ line. Good work!

ZJTurbo 10-10-2006, 04:36 AM update

Yota Tony 10-10-2006, 07:07 AM Yea, I want me some corner gaurds.
CRAWLERHAULER 10-10-2006, 08:38 AM wait till you see it with the door bars installed. very bad ass and they work great too. calling KOZ!!!!!! lets see those pics from canada
I'll update the project pictures in the morning. Don't have a way to post pics on line at home.
The panels are definately comming, unfortunately I do not have an exact date of release on them yet. They are in the works though.
Like the tubes or not they work great for what they were intended for. If I was not running them my ZJ would be junk yard material already.
update with pics will be in the morning.
akozman 10-10-2006, 07:28 PM here's some updates for ya from the canada trip last weekend. The Handicap rails saved his a$$ a ton, they work just like rock sliders on most rigs, used them as pivot points all of the time.

Well, I assumed they were still functional, but you know what they say about assuming. I couldn't tell from the pics if there was seam between the front and rear doors or not. I know a few guys that could benefit from those, they seem to have a problem keeping rear windows.
Jordache 10-11-2006, 09:01 AM looks awesome nice work! how do the body sliders mount to the doors? I see the bars are mounted to a plate but is there a support brace on the inside of the doors and rear quarter panel? Are you going to produce and sell the rocker sliders also? could we get some closer pics of the rocker sliders too?
Keep up the great work!
ZJTurbo 10-11-2006, 10:14 AM I want some handicap rails.
akozman 10-11-2006, 02:40 PM Nice.

CRAWLERHAULER 10-12-2006, 01:12 PM I never knew there was such great wheeling up in the CND. If you care about your paint watch out for the canadian car washes:laughing:

Werd up, where is the quarter panel armor at?!
quebec4x4 01-18-2007, 09:58 AM i dont have received the Quater yet!! and no more answer by email :(
Krazeeun 01-18-2007, 11:18 AM Koz,
how do you like that front link setup? You've inspired me... fk the trackbar!!
how are street characteristics?
Did it work ok with conventional steering? or is the lack of the trackbar the reason you went with full hydro?
Ryan
Hvy_Chevy 01-20-2007, 03:42 PM nice work.
it's not as bad with the full hydro - but plate/gusset the track-bar mount before the uniframe breaks.
Sharp 01-21-2007, 09:15 AM so is that northern ontario??? i'm out in AB and that looks really cool to me too!
cvwindows 01-21-2007, 08:13 PM Koz needed the full hydro to relieve some of the side force. I think it is just something needed when doing lower triangulation.
