Definately dig the strap cam.

One of you guys needs to stick a video camera on a truck and shoot some film.

We tried that. Initial test results were not good. Most people could only stand a couple minutes of footage before :barf: .

And this is a bad thing?! I'd pay money to watch that (the puking in addition to the video)! :D

I supposed one of those balance booms might help stablize the recorder a little - fangle something up with with the tubing, the welder, some thin cut inner tube to act as big elastic bands...

You know, with all that free time you have.

:D

The ESPN2 crew put a little camera on the Bronco I drove at Indy last year. They had it on the bumper pointed back at the front tire. Not a sec of footage showed up on the broadcast, so the shot must have sucked. :(

I think a cool shot would be to mount your camer on the skid plate. With a wide ange lense it would make for some awesome vertical action! (notice I said YOUR camera) :D

An outrigger looking down on the front tire could work. But, you'd have to shoot the passenger side tire, or all you would get would be the back of the drivers head... :p

A little MPEG action would be a great addition to an already awesome site Chris... :) :)

All I know is Chris yeld for help i looked around and saw him on his side with camera in one hand and it looked like he was looking under his zuk. I thought he broke something , when i got to him i saw the baja claw had him by the leg. I realy hated to get in and drive it off his leg before any one could get a pic. What I want to know is where was the strap cam !

Thanks. If you need the other foor just holler. We ran a new trail today, I'd guess it was a mile long. Started around 10am and by the time I was heading for home it was dark. We would have been done sooner but my pitman arm tore at the splines. Yep, I said tore. I had re-indexed it in Moab because I couldn't steer to the left very much and apparently the pitman arm was bending. It let go on some rocks in the middle of the trail. We welded it up but that only held for about 5ft. I had my old pitman arm in the ammo box but it had a Samurai taper. We ended up driving out and going to Erik's house, wallowing out the Zuk taper to fit the Chevy taper and then going back, installing it and then doing a solo night run to get out of there. Fun stuff.

A broken pitman can defnitely leave you high and dry. Once my rig is done, I'm definitely going to fab a spare to avoid that scenario! Glad to hear you were able to get it out eventually.
