: Hummer wheel cost?
66CJdean 04-25-2002, 08:23 PM So what are people paying for complete hummer wheels? I am trying to find out if it is worth my time to persure building them like twisted does? They could be made into most any offset and or bolt pattern so that is sort of cool. Tell me what they go for if you guy's would.
Thanks
damn dude ....sign me up for some i definatley would buy some there are a bunch of guys on here looking for spacers but we all know spacers arent the cure...youll have the front much wider then the rear andadded weight on you studs ....put me down for (4) backspacing maybe 4.5"
my jeep would be:smokin:
hey man another question since you will be doing some surgery on them wheels what about different bolt patterns let me know ...
66CJdean 04-25-2002, 09:09 PM I don't see why they cant be 5X5.5/ 6X5.5 much less 8X6.5 or the new 8X170mm
72zebra 04-25-2002, 09:10 PM Daniel (www.usa6x6.com) stopped by the shop when I was working on my truck yesterday with a load of Hummer rims. He told me he was selling them for $50 each and for another $60 he could put any offset or bolt pattern. Better check with him to make sure, I could be wrong:D
spencurai 04-25-2002, 09:11 PM these guys in az got hummer rims for like 40$ a piece but that custom offset sounds like a good deal!! dont want your junk rubbing , get that shiznit out there!! :flipoff2: :)

66CJdean 04-26-2002, 01:09 PM What I am looking for is what is the going price of a hummer wheel that is say 6X5.5 bolt pattern with a 3.5" offset? If I were to buy a wheel for $50ea and a center section for $60 I for sure am not going to sell the wheel all made up for $110ea
well i can tell you that twisted was charging 300$ a rim and i believe hanson was somewhere around the same price
IF you can do them for 250$ around that area i definatley would buy some and if you would do different bolt patterns like 5 lug or 6 lugs i know guys would want those for there d44's even toyota bolt pattern.good luck man im down for a set of humvee's with 4" BS.....

fishhead18 04-26-2002, 09:00 PM couple of ?'s for you people who have hummer rims. if i get a set for my ford 60's, will i have rubbing problems on say a 14.50 tire? also must you have the runflats, or are they an important part of the rim? the axles are going full width on a yj, but i don't want to be reeeeeaaalll wide, just trying to save money by not cutting the axles down. any help would be the shiat, brotha needs advice!!! fish
never mind, i just read the axle decisions thread, later.
MattS 04-26-2002, 09:11 PM Do a quick search in general 4x4 on Hummer. All your questions will be answered. They were posted in the last month. I have a set coming in a few weeks for my Ford D60. You will have to do some modifications.

oh yeah, going no bigger than 38's if that helps, for now.
MattS 04-26-2002, 09:13 PM Go to that website. Rims is $50 runflat is $50.
He also makes the centers for $60 but you have to weld them in due to insurance liability.

okay now i get it okay so 50$ a rim ,50$ a magnesium run flat,60$ for the center(which i have to pay SOMEONE to weld in)so that's 120$ now how much do you think it will cost to weld them in ?
THAT IS THE QUESTION.
dont forget now you will have to pay shipping ans handling, then probably you will have to ship them again to someone who has the jigs to weld in the centers...it's not like its a beadlockring its the frikin staples of the wheel the center it has to be precise otherwise your wheel will have serious death wobbles.
after all of that you will be paying over 300$ a rim hmmm.i know it can be done much cheaper and with less transactions you wont have to pay shipping /handling twice.
there it is my man.now you know what i mean.....;)
