Lil'John 04-25-2002, 09:06 PM I'm trying to track down some information in regards to the trannies used behind the 6.2L and 6.5L diesels. Specifically, what autos were used? Was it 700R4 all the time:barf: Or did they also use Turbo 350s and 400s? TIA, John brokentoy 04-26-2002, 12:47 AM The 6.2in the 1/2 ton trucks, blazers and suburban came with the 700r4. The Hummer and 3/4, and 1 ton trucks had the Turbo 400 behind it. As far as I know when the 6.5 came out the 4l80e came out and that is what back up the 6.5, but I maybe wrong about that.
