Just to answer some questions
I have noticed alot of folks with questions about replacement rotors..
If and when the time comes you can call us for a part number that you would be able to use at a local parts store.. We only keep the secret untill you have bought a kit. Our rotors are not a propriety type product.
You can kind of think about it like kentucky Fried Chicken original recipe or some other companies secret sauce.. They stayed in business because no one else new their secret
Be assured we are here for our customers and keep no secrets about replacement parts with them.....

'97 V8 12-17-2006, 10:49 AM I think 78 elderodo brakes will work for this kit. The reason im saying this is becuase they have a mechanical parking brake lever on the caliper itself. You just need to tie in your exhisiting cable with that of the caliper.

Blackbirdscustom 06-23-2007, 09:07 AM why is the dually dana70u so expensive compared to the great prices on the other axle kits?
If you look at the listing of items that come with our kits you will see the added spacers and hardware for them. That is what the difference in the prices are.
With our prices you get the comfort of knowing these are street and offroad proven. Have a warranty. Are a complete bolt on, no guessing what you need to get brake kit.

poorman4x4 07-21-2007, 08:25 PM Do you guys make any aftermarket disc brake kits for a Dana 70-3HD? I understand its an oddball axle.
nate379 07-21-2007, 09:36 PM Does anyone use your kits for towing?
Those calipers look VERY small compared to what comes on factory disc brake D70 and D80s.
Blackbirdscustom 07-22-2007, 12:57 PM Do you guys make any aftermarket disc brake kits for a Dana 70-3HD? I understand its an oddball axle.
PM sent :D
Blackbirdscustom 07-22-2007, 01:03 PM Does anyone use your kits for towing?
Those calipers look VERY small compared to what comes on factory disc brake D70 and D80s.
Not only do we have them on our tow rigs, they are on several trucks in the states. We also have quite a few on local trucks that go through the Idaho-Montana passes with large trailers...
The calipers are the standard local, easy to replace Chevy 1/2-3/4 4x4 front calipers(non-ebrake) and the Cadillac calipers(e-brake). Almost all vendors on this board utilize these calipers..
To add to the towing question. You shouldn't have any issue also if your larger trailer has its own braking system.
We are a replacement option to the large drum brakes those axles come with.
Thank you
Blackbirdscustom 07-29-2007, 11:23 AM We are here for your axle needs
Blackbirdscustom 08-11-2007, 07:41 PM shed the weight of those drums, for easy to change pads and rotors..
Blackbirdscustom 08-18-2007, 05:59 PM Bolt on application...

Blackbirdscustom 11-04-2007, 06:20 PM Thank you guys for going with us
Big91RustyBucket 11-04-2007, 06:35 PM So what makes your Kit's so expensive . I need stuff for a 70HD but can get the stuff from DIY4x for $120 With Rotors. And according to all my measurements I just need to bore standard 3/4 ton rotors out a hair to fit the 70.
Blackbirdscustom 11-05-2007, 01:35 AM So what makes your Kit's so expensive . I need stuff for a 70HD but can get the stuff from DIY4x for $120 With Rotors. And according to all my measurements I just need to bore standard 3/4 ton rotors out a hair to fit the 70.
Thanks for the question.
We are just one option of a company to go with. We cater to the no question as to what you need complete bolt on kit. No need to source parts from other places.
All of our kits are street and offroad proven.
No names to mention, but we have had many a question about why stuff doesn't work from other companies (brackets way off, no customer support, wrong part numbers for the extra parts), with people telling us and emailing us saying they should have went with us first.
Ours work, no guess work.
and if you get a bad apple from us we will fix it for you.
If we could sell a complete kit for cheaper with free shipping... Trust me... We would..
Thank you
Big91RustyBucket 11-05-2007, 06:09 AM I guess my thing is now matter where I order from I am not going to buy hoses pad's etc. If the rotor's are bored out than that is one thing but I just can't allow myself to spend so much on a disk conversion that should cost me no more than $200.
