: 2005 Pathfinder LIFT TECH questions!

Have a 2005 Pathfinder.

Just want to put 3" on it and I am running into dead info everywhere I turn. I have tried EVERONE and EVERYTHING. Even fab shops will not touch it!

Been told that this sits on a TITAN and ARMADA platform. What does that mean?

I've also been told that the Titan and Pathfinder are totall different (spindles are different, etc.)

Some are telling me it's because it has independant rear suspension that I can't lift it. BULLSHIT. The TItan and Armada have the RIS!!

Some are saying there's NO demand for it...maybe: I've seen lots of pimped out Pathfinders out there with freaky huge rims and pimp wheels...But NONE lifted!!

Some are saying it's too long and heavy; rollover waiting to happen. BULLSHIT again. Calmini has a 5" lift kit out there but it's just to big for what I want. The 2004 SEMA show had that Pathfinder there; they wouldn't be selling a kit like that if Pathfinders are rolling too easily.

What COULD be the issue here? What the hell is going on?

There must be other late model (05-06) pathinder owners out there who are trying to modify somehow on suspension!

The SE OFfroad edition comes with Ranch Shocks but when I call Rancho...they have "NOTHING". Probably so people don't go buy the cheaper XE and just buy the Ranch shocks and slap'em on to save about 5k on the Offoad model.

From what I understand, a 2-3" lift is nice in that it is "JUST before" the breaking point of the camber, so little if no alignment may be necessary. IS this true does anyone know?

So a friend of mine recommended this strategy:

1. buy the cheapy spacers at pep boys...
2. Do the measurements for clearance before and after.
3. after installation, measure for the dimensions of a replacement spring I'll need plus GVW
4. Call all shops with DIMENSIONS/measurements ONLY and stay away from telling shops that you want it for a 05 Pathfinder. Order the springs and put them in.

5. HOPEFULLY there are no other complications....(i.e. camber, etc.)?????

6. Same thing with the shocks!!! I can call part department at Nissan and ask part number of the shocks on those Offroad editions and order them somewhere else to put on this vehicle.

HELL, it's not much I'm asking to do here but it seems that it's TABOO or something!!

COME ON late model Pathfinder owners! Stand up and start demanding!!!

Or did I just make a HUGE MISTAKE and buy a pimp mobile instead?!!!!

Please any feedback will be helpful!!

If you know of someone or have a friend who worked something out on their own and it works, please please let me know!!

AFTER ALL....The TITANS and ARMADAS are being lifted!!!!

WHY NOT THE Pathfinders???????

The TItan does not have RIS, it has a solid rear axle.

In the 30 seconds I looked, all I saw available is a 2.5" spacer, 5" Calmini or 6" Pro-Comp kit. Here's the 2.5" spacer kit AC sells:

system-F you are right; Titan does have solid rear axle.

Thanks everyone for your input.

IF you hear of anything...love to hear about it and looked at all those things...

It will just take time.

wait till the end of october for 4x4parts.com to make replacement coils for the rear and you're set. I am just as frustrated as your are w/ all of the blingged out pathfinders!! Mean while 4x4parts does carry front coils and upper control arms and shocks..we are just waiting for the rear coils...they also said the kit will be available w/ rear bilstein 5100's none of that rancho BS:smokin:
