My motor started blowing oil so I had to get my butt in gear and finish my spare motor. The spare motor is the 258 bored .030 over with the Crane cam #753901 and lifters #99278-12 like all of the write ups say to use with the 4.0 head swap. I have the 4.0 push rods,Crane valve springs#96806-12 and the Crane spring retainers#99947-12 on order to use with the swap.

I used the Crane springs because I thought they would be easier to find then the Mopar stuff. No boby at the parts place could tell me whether the retainers come with the valve spring locks or not, or which ones I will need. Crane's tech wont be open until next week, so has anyone used the Crane springs or know what locks I need for the stock 4.0 Jeep head????

So no one uses Crane valve springs??????
