The 63" chevy leafs require you to relocate the front hanger's on the rear setup.

Yes, check out www.explorerforum.com/forums in the SAS section. A guy just did a swap using Range rear leafs except he's using a D44 instead of a D30.

I am using Yj springs on the front of my ranger. It is possible to use the ranger springs but there length makes for some intersting mounting locations. I would do Yj spings with a leaf or two added instead. Or even coils instead.

i used ranger rears up front on my 87xcab with a 4.0 and they were way to soft.

what about xplorer leafs in front since they do give lift to the rear of the ranger?

Maybe add a leaf or two to it. Im not familiar with the explorer springs. I am using 4 leaf yj springs with a cut down ranger spring added to the pack. The ranger spring is much thicker the the yj ones. It flexs fine but is still on the soft side especally if it is a daily driver.
