I went to use my warn xd9000 winch and all I hear is a clicking noise coming from the black box that accepts the remote. Is the solenoid in the body of the winch or the black box? Is this clicking a sign of a dead solenoid?

If you go to Warn's site, they have down-loadable service manuals and lists of faults and remmedies. Your solenoid pack should be in the "body" over the drum.
