It's how I can justify getin it done to the boss :D
and yes it's not nearly enough time to get my whole list done
but We'll give it a shot non the less

now if only I could get pt to help (pt that requires geting dirty ) instead of giving my supply's to the scrap boy i'd be ahead :flipoff2:

I did not GIVE anything to the fawking low-life scrap thieves!

Yesterday evening got real stressful when we were picking up the trailer, otherwise, I would have been there to help. It did not get better when we found out just what had been stolen. With luck, contractors will be out to begin quoting on the new shop foundation.

Are you gonna do the weight saving items we discussed? I like the cage...its far more utilitarian looking than an SD one!

Later today. In between discussions on the finer pointsof AEL tank venting and trying to keep the CEL from illuminating, we discussed the electrics necessary for the winch.

This was a very ambitious build on a short time frame. It looks like most of what he wanted tog et done will be done in time for the Rallye. Sadly, we're badly hampered by my being in FWA and busting my ass at the "Day-Job" trying to keep the houses.

At this point, all that remains is finish wiring the new fuel pump, mount the seats and run the cable from the THREE batteries to their various terminations. About all that might not be complete in time for the rallye are the rock lights, but even those might be done in time.

Now, AFI needs some support. All together now "Take a deep breath, exhale, it's all gonna work out and be just fine"! I'm sure he feels better already :flipoff2:

Most of the weight savings will be taken Nadim (nice pic in Crawl, BTW). AFI has become as obsessive as you have about weight. We came up with a way to run the cabling from the mid-mounted battery that will eliminate an entire cable run!

Mounting the batteries amid-ship is a great thing...I have mine dead center...

why did you decide to do away with the gas tank and go with the fuel cell? just to move the weight to the center?

I've been kicking the idea back and forth for the next iteration of my Disco, but I just hate to lose the interior room...

Looks good. Looks really heavy too. Should work well.

20 hours straight working on your truck!! If that's true you are a machine and must not have been operating high speed spinning power tools. I probably need another 20 or so hours on my junk to finish up a few "last minute" things, that I keep adding to my list.

BTW, What trails you running at the rally?

So bring me down to 8 or less.

What kind of fuel pump and pump location did you end up going with?

It was an MSD pump, 40 psi with plenty of flow. The fuel pump was mounted underneath on the angled surface where the rear body pan slopes downward.

I've received one phone call indicating there was some carnage or issues with the short-time frame buildup. If AFI was able to find a brake line, he's back on the trail!
