Ok--I found a 79 Lariat 4 door F350. Someone did a dual wheel conversion and has a flatbed. Im thinking of buying the dually fenders and mounting a regular bed on it. Id like to mount 19.5 rims on it as well. Not sure what it would take to make it a 4x4 but has just about every option including a 8 track player-LOL. 460 Auto with AC. Whats the best route to go as far as a 4x4 conversion? I wanna use a gear venders so not sure on the divorced Tcase.

a d60 and divorced np205
If I remember right, they didnt make a dually 60 in the 70s?? So I would have to fab in an 80s dually front correct? What year they start a solid front 60 with dually setup?

Late 85.. could you use the later spacers that ford had on an earlier housing??? I know the wheel studs are different, but wouldn't the spacers still work???

there is a 79 F-350 dually 4x4 around by me, everything looks factory on it.
Whether it is a factory freak, or a really, really clean conversion, I don't know.

When I was a kid one of my neighbours installed a dually conversion kit. It came with the wheels and some really nice bolt on fender flares. I don't know who made it but when all was said and done it looked like it came from the factory.

I'd stay away from the 19.5" wheels. Tires for them are very expensive, and limited. A friend of mine was quoted $2200 for a set of Good-Year's on his F450

OUCH! Yea I might have to look into that before I splurge for the wheels. THanks for the heads up.
