Take your wheels off and put a level on the rotors and see if the mounting area is parallel with the ground or if they are really like this \-----/. If anything, they should be pointing in at the top like this /-------\ (which has some camber). This can be adjusted by bending the housing or by using spindle shims.

i took the wheels off yesterday and checked at the rotors they were still \---/ like 2.5 degrees off from 90 on both sides.. im going out there now to pull the hubs off and have a look, where can i get these shims???any other advice???will the spanner nut adjusment change anything???

ok i have it all apart again, and the angle is out the same 2.5 degrees at the face of the knuckle where the spindle mates up to,so its not bent spindles, so its got to be in the ball joints or a bend in the ears on the end of the axle tubes??? but if it were bent ears i would assume they would be the other way like /--\ any other suggestions?????this is pissing me off.......

did you check your preload sleeves to see if they are offset? they make offset ones so you can adjust the caster some. if they are installed with the offset pointing outward instead of rearward they will cause a problem just like yours. DENNIS

Grandpa Jeep, I have the same issue but on a 44 out of a waggy. everything is freshly rebuilt. On the upper ball joint there is the insert for the taper called the camber nut. I didn't see any real difference in thickness side to side but could this be it? Should I try to rotate the nut to compesate for the angle? mrreddog if you figure it out let me know will ya? I can't think of how to fix it.
You guys will flame me for this one but I was poppin wheelies in a parking lot, axle is straight but maybe I stretched the spindle bolts? Thanks, nat

The factory sets up the axles with a little positive camber for tracking. 2.5 is a lot though, you want 1 to 1.5 max. Don't bend the housing to get negitive camber, get the off set upper ball joint bushings that are in the knuckle. If anything you want to run straight up or alittle positive, not negitive.

Sorry on the last post, 1 to 1.5 was wrong. Had a long day. you want 0 to 3/4 postive max. I use to have some but I'm out. I have not found a cheap place on them yet. One place wanted $25 ea, thats out of control. If you cant find them let me know. Hopefully I can find some at a good price. :D Forgot, yes it can get out the 2.5.
