After searching the archives, :flipoff2: , to no avail, what power steering hose, high pressure, is needed for a saginaw conversion. I have read that most of them are custom made but someone had to have bought one off the shelf. If you have the part number and mfg, that would help too.
TIA,

I had mine made and it was super easy and I would say cheaper then off the shelf. I could be wrong. The nice part is you get the correct fittings and having the entire hose flexible makes it easy to mount. If you do have it made try not to bring up the fact it is going on a car. Some places get weird about liability things

Where did you get your fittings? Did the place that you had the hose made at have them?

Your not going to find one off the shelf that works, unless your extremely lucky!
You can get hose ends at rental yards, tractor supply stores, semi truck repair facilities, hydraulic supply stores. Most of these places can custom make hoses for any application you throw at them.:skull:

Go to the go fast store and buty the correct adapter to a an -6 fitting, get some hose ends and hose and make em. $45 here for everything, including the low pressure return line. I'll post pics that I took yesterday when I get home.
Otherwise I have the one I got from TPI, that didn't exactly fit like I thought it should. Might have been because I mounted the pump down where the alt used to be? It's in great condition.
It's yours for $20 which includes ups ground shipping. E-mail direct to my addy (msmythe@iei.net) if you want it.

I used a place called Parker. They specialize in making hydraulic lines for all applications and can make them while you wait. I brought a coat hanger bent to the shape I needed and the old lines that I pulled from the junkyard with me so they could match the fittings. They are all over the place- check the phone book.

Here are the pics I mentioned. The adapter is common, sorry I don't have the specs on them. I saw them listed in the last Jegs or Summit catalog as sterring fittings. The hose and fittings are also common race car stuff. AN -6 size and high pressure hose for the pump side, low pressure (much cheaper) for the return. Less than $90 to do 2 Cruisers.

Good pics. Is your pump have a female connector? It looks like a gender changer fitting is between the hose and the pump.
Thanks,

Yes the pump has a female fitting. The adapters are male to male. I'll dig up that catalog when I get to my office in the morning, or call the supplier and see what I can find on the specs.

If you have a flare style fitting it is cake.
Go get a 78, CJ7, six banger, pressure hose.
If it is O ring then it is more difficult..
O ring I would make....
I went the same route as SpaceGhost: the do-it-yourself hose. I bought the hose and fittings off of a local wheeler/retailer (I have his phone# and website if you want). It was very easy to throw together, and wasn't that expensive.
There is an adaptor threaded into the pump/box hole, and then the hose fittings screw onto the adaptor. I think the hose can also be bought at napa, or certain auto parts places- so replacing it isn't that hard. And the fittings should be pretty bulletproof.
