Well I got one side done today. Took 2.5 hrs. :eek: the entire front job only took me about 2hrs.

It was more work that I imagined, but I'm sure most of you knew that. I still have to do some welding and closing up of holes. I didn't replace the tub, I just opened it up which left some holes to fill as you will see.

FINALL getting rid of all that damn rust....ahhh but I found more. I may need to replace portions of the rear floor in the future. Oh well.

As you can see I sort of opened up the wheel wells in sections.

Then I intend to re-weld these sections into their new locations.

THen I will add pieces to fill in the holes and put a single piece of 22 guage steel to overlay the underside of the tub, and maybe another to overlay the top side.

You notice in the above pic I had to cut a section out of the floor. Particularly a section of the seat bolting reinforcement plate. I plan to RE-reinforce this with some 3/8" steel palting covering a wide area.

Another: Here I get started on the rear of the rear.

Another: Jumping right to the stopping point. The rear of the rear, went just like the front of the rear.

Another: Here it's no longer being held up by the fork lift. I did that to give me room to cut, instead of taking the tire off.

I like the way the tire is centered in the wheel well. Although in a future shot you'll see that the tire, when flexed, moves to the rear A LOT!!

Here's the shots you've all been waiting for.

This is the front half of the rear tub. Showing tire clearance while flexed.

In the shot above, you can see that there is more clearance that is really necessary.

I think the rear of rear clarance is REALLY good. That's really all that matters.

I LOVE this shot, and am quite impressed with the flex, ESPECIALL since I STILL haven't cut open the spring clamps. I don't know if I even will yet till I lower my bump stops.

Not super impressive, but it'll defintely do the job for now.

I need to bleed the brakes see if they are ok. IF NOT, then I need to run the front disks straight from the master cylinder. and get the summit adj prop. valve for the rear.

Once I have the brakes straightened out and I will be able to drive it. I do need to put my AGR steering pump in.....umm what else, Oh yeah, replace the front blocks with my longer shackles.

Add the CV to the rear shaft. Order my shocks from PM.

After that I will be running it on the road, but with some loose end to tie up still.

I'm estimating appx 2 months.

Man that was one busy friggin night

Ahh, I just want to get on a road trip sometime. But I'm a little leary of cruising back to Colorado. Plus my rig won't be movable for some time to come. Considering the body is on saw horses, and the frame behind it. Just a thought though....NBD
