My brake booster and master cylinder were leaking, so I changed them today. I'm having problems getting the front brakes to work properly. I bled the system, did it a second time, but only feels like the rears are working. Any suggestions?

Did you bench bleed your master cylinder before installing it. You may still have air in the system.

either take it back out and bench bleed and start all over again,

i did this awhile ago cant remember wut i did but i didnt bench bleed it i think i opened up the master cylinder and started pumping, and pushed the air bubbles out:confused:

maybe the stupid proportioning valve kicked...... located down on frame. Master cylinder lines go to it before splitting off to the rear.

loosen the brake lines at the master cylinder and pump the brakes and let it bleed all over the place, or buy a piece of 1/4 brake line tubing, cut in half and loop it back into the reservoir and then pump the brakes. I will get somebody to "pump up" the brakes and then crack open the bleed valve and then quickly close it. This can get that stubborn bubble out.

1) Pull the M/C out and bench bleed it like the instructions say. Bleeding it in the truck will be a real PITA.

2) Optional ~ then bypass the PPV and plumb the front and rears straight in without the ppv. Then go buy some speed bleeders for the calipers and wheel cylinders and bleed the brakes yourself. Look in the "HELP" / Motormite section of the parts store for the speed bleeders.
