what i have
2 stock sets of rears from 87 (4 packs in all)
what i can get at the local yard
selection of several mini and 1/2 ton picks for leafs
what i'm trying to accomplish
3 or 4 inch lift with good road manners and good flex (not a caddilac ride that has 40 inchs of articulation) just a nice balance
whats some of you guys formula's for building your own leaf pack? its going on a SAS 87 x cab

The faq is vage on the amount of lift you get, because everyone is useing toy leafs with chevy, jeep, waggys, mazda, lift leaves, rears, ect. You should have enough leafs with what you have keep one set of the 2 mains then the next to sets cut the ends off the mains. so you will have the 2 main leafs with the bushing holes then the next two leafs will be the mains tapered maybe 2 or 4 inches less than the others just look at a 4 or 5 leafpack and see how the leafs get shorter the farther down you go. It should give you the lift you want if not get a set a marlins. Look at some of the pictures in the faq about rears up front. remember at one time or another no one knew about rears up front.
