Hey guy's...Quick question for ya'....Posted this on the 90 list as well, but thought I'd go for it here too...

Will a 94' plastic hard-top fit on a 97 without any issues...Or do the bed rails have to be drilled and fitted? Got mine sold today! Yippie! More $ for the build up...BUT! I told the guy that I would do the install before I thought about the bed-rails and if they have the hardware already installed...If not what's the fix?

The plastic hardtop will work fine on the 97 as it has the nutserts as well.

Phew! That's a load off! BTW, anyone have an idea of what they are going for $ wise? I think I got a good price, but...They're not made anymore, and mine was...Well...Let's just say it's been used...;)

BP has them new for 2500 still. Used I have seen 800-2000 depending on condition/location.

They seem to crack even new during install.

Yea, I know (about the cracking)....Didn't know RN had them still...Heard they didn't...But that's nothing new.

I got a good price then...Little cracks and things all over the place...Doesn't affect anything though....And MAN people do want those things! If it were me I'd just order an aluminum top from the UK and make it work with a new cage or something...Like the POE 94' D90's...

Okay...I do need the rubber strip's that join the corners to the sides...Basically it's a channeled rubber strip that sandwiches between the two...Maybe RoverRape has the rubber in stock somehow/where...But without it , it's gonna' be a beatch to make it look right...And with the price this kid (trustafarian) paid, I want it lookin' good.

Any ideas guy's?

I'll check if LRNA has the strips in stock tomorrow.

If not I am sure foam camper shell seal tape would work fine.

About a year ago LR found 50 of them new in box in the UK. Some dealers bought them (LRDE) and also British Pacific bought some.

Another thing to use is that black tar substance that is available at your local NAPA or whatever. It comes as a roll of 1/4" diameter strip and you can form it to fill in the gaps. Sealed up the hard top of my 110 easily!

Looks like LRNA can still get them. Won't know 100% unless I order them. $42.12 each.
