Many moons ago, our 1.6 8v sidekick blew #4 cylinder's exhaust valve, and so we replacedthat head with a samurai head... Now I am thinking the 1600 head will fit on my 1300 with some head work. But how will it perform?? has anyoine done this?

Put 1.3 valve springs in the 1.6 head. The 1.6 springs are lighter and don't hold up to higher RPM runs very well.

I don't remember having any problems when I did my swap. I'm sure the 1.6 sidekick motor revved as high as the sammy motor. just stick the head on with either a 1.3 or 1.6 head gasket for 8valve.
