Does anyone know the dimensions of the 5.3L engine? I'm looking for a small v8 to swap into my jeep, and the 5.3 is one of the options I'm considering. Thanks.

The 4.8/5.3/6.0L and LS1/LS2/LS6/LS7 are all the same size longblocks.

Thanks a ton for that info. That helps out a lot. What do you think of that 5.3 offroad? Any issues when you are off camber? Oil starvation or anything negative like that?

Also note that the image shows a truck manifold. The LS1 intake is at least 4" shorter.. EDIT: the oil pan is a truck style too. LS1 pan is 4 inches shorter but that is not as big a deal in a truck.

The truck manifold should fit under most hoods unless it's a car, and they give a little more low end anyway. The F-body oil pan is 4'' shorter than the truck, the vettes is even shorter. Then there is the GTO and Trailblazer which is a front sump pan. Lots of choices. Oil stavation shouldn't be a problem as the Gen III have baffles and windage trays. I never had a problem but I don't rock crawl.
