I AM GONNA HAVE SOME EXTRA CASH WHEN UNCLE SAM CALLS .......SO SHOULD I GET FI OR A KLUNE......

CRZAH RUNS GREAT BUT AT EXTREME ANGLES IT SUCKS .....STARTS SPUTERING AND CAUGHING

CRZAH CRAWLS OK BUT ABOUT 55-1 ISNT ENOUGH TO JUST LET IT IDLE

WHAT WOULD YOU GET

i think a klune is way more expensive than EFI would be. Depending on your tcase and your motor, maybe you could do EFI and get some sort of lower tcase gears or a doubler for the same price as the Klune would be.

The klune will make it go further, the FI will make it go easier, you decide...

If it runs like crap on angles, you won't have to be afraid to give it a little juice to keep it running if you have a klune, it won't be moving any faster...

A Klune won't help at all when the engine stalls at an angle. Fuel injection will always help, a Klune only some of the time.

hmm I would buy a wrecked truck with Auto Trans and Injected V-8

but thats just me.....

get injection dude...you'll be able to drive it WAY better - even those gears will seem alot less of a problem with injection...

Get the injection now and wait for other crawler boxes to become available. They will be here soon, less expensive is the word.

Go to the boneyard and get a tbi setup or better yet find someone parting out a tbi truck, these swaps are CHEAP! Then get the Klunev.

I sell both and can score ya a deal on either,

But I would get the F.I. first if its also a DD. A klune if its a trail only rig.

Tuff choice, but I'll make it real easy for you...........Send me the cash and your worries are over!;)
Seriously though, I would get the FI first, if your cruzah is coughing and sputtering now, the Fi will fix that. At least you can do some trouble free wheelin. save some cash and get the klune later on.....
Or you can get that new Holley off road carb, and get the klune.
Or you can get a TBI off a junkyard rig and modify, and get the klune.
Decisions...decisions.........

How often do you see deals on Klunes:question: If you have the cash get the Klune, it's not often you have a large chunk of change to drop on something. Have you considered an Atlas? Projection is less then a grand and deals come up for it. Look at it that way.

my 2 cents Joe

NOT TOO OFTEN......
I HAVE A 205 AND WITH THE KLUNE I COULD KILL THE ATLAS RATIO...OR MATCH IT ...OR MAKE IT HIGHER.....THAT WOUL BE COOL......

I STILL DONT KNOW:rasta: :rasta:

Whats the gear ratio in your diffs? Just wondering cause I've got the same setup for SBC, SM465, NP205, and 38.5s. I have't had it on the trail yet with the 38s but with 36s it was fine here in WA...rock crawling opportunities are few and far between here in WA.:(

Also, will you actually be able to fit a klune V and still be able to have a driveline work in the rear? I thought it (klune) added a bit to the overall length of the drivetrain.

I'm SOA, have my engine moved as far forward as possible, have a lowered t-case, a 96" WB, and still have a 34degree angle driveline in the rear.:(

As for your original Q, do the fuel injection then explore some more options for lower gearing. There was recently a thread on the toy and 4runner section where people were bitching about other people actually going TOO SLOW!

MY GEAR RATIO IS 4.11....WB IS 99" MY MOTOR CAN STILL GO FORWARD ABOUT 3" TOO....
THE KLUNE WITH THIS COMBO TAKES THE PLACE OF THE STOCK ADAPTER PLUS SOME SMALLER ADAPTERS.

I vote Klune. Then ask Kevin where he would suggest you get hooked up on a deal for one.:flipoff2:
